Andrew Cohen visits Edinburgh for the first time
Talking to a crowd of over 120 people, Andrew led the evening into a deep philosophical exploration of ‘where we have come from’, ‘who we are at our deepest level’ and ‘where are we going’.
He held the audience captivated for the two hours and time flew by as he took us on a journey from the birth of the Universe 14 billion years ago up until our current cultural and planetary predicament, placing the responsibility for this clearly into our own hands.
Along this journey he challenged and questioned our current religious and philosophical ideas in relation to the new evolutionary understanding of role we play in this evolving universe.
He dared us to start seeing life in a more philosophical context and less of a psychological context, taking the focus away from our own happiness or unhappiness, and asking us to start consciously taking responsibility for the evolution of consciousness and culture right now…
That we are not separate individuals just trying to get by in life, to make a buck or two, but we are part of a larger process of unfoldment; a process so mind-blowingly huge that we have trouble cognitively understanding the enormity of it.
We are the universe evolving, we are consciousness waking up from the inertia of matter, and at are deepest level we are God in manifest form realising himself or herself.
So Andrew finished by saying that if all this is true, then how are you going to live your life?
